Honor is pushing its portable gaming segment by targeting more than 250 W of system power, with a new cooling design and mobile GeForce RTX 50 GPUs.

Configurations et fenêtre de launch

The Honor WIN series will be launched in China on April 23. The brand targets the high end with Intel HX CPUs and GPUs up to the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, according to a Weibo leak relayed by several official teasers.

The combinations mentioned include Core i7-14650HX with RTX 5060, Core Ultra 7 251HX with RTX 5060, and Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus associated with RTX 5060, RTX 5070 or RTX 5070 Ti. Most models listed offer 16 GB of memory, with 512 GB or 1 TB of storage.

Honor WIN: cooling and power

Honor communicates on a total power envelope greater than 250 W and a 360 W GaN adapter. A dual main fan cooling scheme accompanied by four mini-fans is mentioned, potentially six fans in total.

Such an arrangement would remain rare, but not isolated. Alienware has already deployed x15/x17s with four fans, ASUS has shipped several ROGs with an auxiliary fan, GIGABYTE promoted AORUS with four fans, and the Acer Predator 21 X had five fans. If the leak is confirmed, Honor would go further in terms of ventilation density.

It remains to be seen the real impact on sustained GPU/CPU frequencies and noise under load, especially since the Intel HX architecture and mobile RTX 50s place heavy demands on dissipation when the system power exceeds 250 W.
