Publisher Kwalee and Madrid-based independent studio Out of the Blue Games have announced that the adventure game Call of the Elder Gods will be released on May 12, 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2PlayStation 5, Xbox Series (+ Game Pass) and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. The game features the professor Harry Everhart and the student Evangeline Draytonboth haunted by a mysterious artifact discovered ten years earlier. Their quest for answers will take them to the four corners of the world, from the libraries of a New England mansion to the red sands of the Australian outback, including icy wastes and timeless cities. All done under Unreal Engine 5.

Out of the Blue Games is notably known for Call of the Sea (2020) and American Arcadia (2023). Call of the Elder Gods is the direct sequel, this time drawing inspiration from the nouvelle de H.P. Lovecraft, The Shadow out of Time. Like the first episode, the game offers observation-based puzzles and theexamination of objectsenriched this time with the possibility of switch between the two characters to solve puzzles at several stages, across time and space. Occult books scattered throughout the environments will also provide additional challenges. The difficulty level is adjustable via hints, icons and journal entries that can be activated on demand.



The story is fully dubbed into English (with French subtitles) by Yuri Lowenthal (Marvel’s Spider-Man, Arcane, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth) et Cissy Jones (Firewatch, Starfield, Baldur’s Gate III), already present in the first opus. The original soundtrack is signed Eduardo Of The Iglesiamulti-awarded composer also returned for this suite. The game addresses themes such as mourning, family and mental health, and will be sold on the eShop for €21.99.
