Liverpool targeting French International Defender

In preparation for the upcoming season, Liverpool’s recruitment team has earmarked the name of a French international player.

For a long time, Liverpool had been pursuing Marc Guéhi. However, the central defender preferred to join Manchester City. Consequently, the Reds turned their sights to Jérémy Jacquet, with whom they reached an agreement estimated at 70 million euros. But the gem of Stade Rennais suffered an injury on February 7 and underwent successful surgery on his left shoulder in early March.

The Merseyside club is once again in search of a central defender. They are once again looking towards Crystal Palace. According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool is keen on securing the services of Maxence Lacroix.

The rising French international has Europe at his feet

Playing for the Eagles, the native of Villeneuve-Saint-Georges has become one of the best in his position. He has also become one of the most sought after. The 25-year-old player, who made his debut against Brazil on March 26, is attracting interest from several clubs in Europe. Besides Liverpool, Maxence Lacroix is being monitored by Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

A huge fan of Barcelona, I started my journalism career in 2015. I covered the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar among other events. As a football match commentator, I have recently developed a passion for the EuroLeague of Basketball, with my favorite player being Facundo Campazzo.
