The aforementioned widget displays a video of the 50th anniversary of the Organisation of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OEACP) summit held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea from March 27 to 29, where Morocco played a significant role in international relations.
Under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, Morocco advocates for ambitious South-South cooperation based on balanced, sustainable, and mutually beneficial partnerships, breaking away from dependence. In a changing global landscape, the Kingdom emerges as a key player in the dynamics among Southern countries, as highlighted by its participation in the OEACP summit as a guest of honor.
Nasser Bourita, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, reinforced Morocco’s strategic positioning on the international stage by emphasizing its commitment to Africa and South-South cooperation, not as a mere slogan but as a core foreign policy doctrine.
This symbolic recognition represents Morocco’s ongoing commitment to African, Caribbean, and Pacific nations. Economically and agriculturally, Morocco stands out for its contribution to food security in Africa, providing over 200,000 tonnes of fertilizers in 2022 and 364,000 tonnes at preferential rates, as confirmed by Minister Nasser Bourita.
Morocco advocates for strengthening the OEACP to establish a more equitable global economic order, a vision it has been implementing since 1999 through sustained cooperation efforts. With over 1,607 signed agreements, 52 royal visits to Africa, and a strong human commitment demonstrated through the education of over 19,400 foreign students and more than 40,220 graduates from partner countries, Morocco continues to promote a partnership-focused doctrine over dependency.
