According to the Kélonia care center: “it was found at the end of a long fishing line tangled around corals and unable to escape”. The turtle was dragging over 22 meters of nylon thread behind her. Saved by the Kélonia teams and the Center for Studies and Discovery of Marine Turtles (CEDTM), she will be operated on this Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
