The EuroMulet 2026 will not be held in Creuse. Originally scheduled for September 5 and 6 in Chéniers, at the Moulin de Piot, the European championship of the mule cup will change its location and set sail 80 kilometers further south. The event is relocated to Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat, in Haute-Vienne, after several editions in Creuse since 2021.

The decision to move was made by the organizing association Tumprendkäür, due to uncertainties related to municipal elections and the mayor’s difficulty in committing, as well as the desire to continue growing, explained Guillaume Hays, the organizer:

“We found another municipality in Haute-Vienne that helps us much more and provides equipment, privatizes the camping site at a lower price than in Chéniers. We had contacted the Creuse Department Council for a subsidy, they told us it would be refused, so we didn’t submit a written request. In short, we have always remained independent since the first edition with partners. We are also thinking about the future of the festival, we don’t want it to end in 3 or 4 years, and we don’t want to offer a low-budget festival either, so we found a great municipality in Saint Léonard de Noblat with a great team and they are very enthusiastic to welcome us.”

Therefore, a lack of financial support and commitment prompted the organizers to change the venue.

Context: The EuroMulet is a festival that celebrates the unique hairstyle known as the “mullet.” The decision to move the event to Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat was influenced by financial concerns and the willingness of the new location to support the festival.
