The scene as a birthday gift. To celebrate her 58th birthday, Céline Dion announced on the evening of Monday, March 30, 2026, in a video broadcast on the Eiffel Tower and on France 2, a series of ten concerts in September and October in Paris, officially confirming her return after six years away from the public.

“This year, I will receive the best gift of my life. I will have the chance to go see you and sing for you again,” declared the Quebec diva in a radiant voice, in this message broadcast on social networks and on the Parisian monument, after a spectacular light show. Hundreds of fans were gathered at the foot of the tower, waiting for the suspense to end as the singer performed a cover of L’hymne à l’amour, immortalized by Édith Piaf.

Her “greatest hits” on the program

Ten concerts are scheduled from September 12 to October 14, with two concerts per week on Saturdays and Wednesdays. It’s a mini-residency chosen for the artist’s return, experienced with this format after sixteen years of shows in Las Vegas.

She will perform at Paris La Défense Arena, near the capital, in a venue that can accommodate around 40,000 spectators. These concerts will highlight her greatest French and English hits, according to an official statement. The stage design will be handled by artistic director Willo Perron, known for Beyoncé’s latest world tour.

After pre-sales starting on April 7, general ticket sales will open on April 10.

“I feel strong, I sing a lot”

This grand announcement, after a meticulously planned communication campaign, was accompanied by a few words from the singer to her fans. “I wanted to tell you that I am doing really well, my health… I feel good, I feel strong, I sing a lot, I even do a bit of dancing,” she revealed, admitting to feeling “super excited” and “a little nervous.” “These last years, there hasn’t been a day when I haven’t felt your prayers, your support, and of course, your love, even in the toughest moments,” she added.

More than six years after being forced to step away from the stage, the star once again shows the extent of her resilience. Her Courage World Tour, initiated at the end of 2019 with a scheduled stop in France, was canceled a few months after its launch due to the pandemic, and then due to health issues. Since 2022, Céline Dion has been battling Stiff Person Syndrome, an incurable neurological disease characterized by muscle rigidity and painful spasms. This illness has repeatedly delayed her comeback, which was initially anticipated in 2025 before being pushed back again.

But hopes were still alive since Céline Dion reappeared at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, performing the timeless Hymne à l’amour, once again from the Eiffel Tower, for a triumphant finale.

French love

Behind her grand shows, Céline Dion continues to capture her audience with cult songs and a voice like no other, as seen in My Heart Will Go On from the soundtrack of James Cameron’s Titanic (1997). Her lyrics sometimes reflect the trials she has faced: in 2016, her last French album Encore un soir paid tribute to René Angélil, her mentor, husband, and father of her three children, who passed away the same year.

With over 260 million albums sold in French and English, the artist enjoys the support of devoted fans and the acclaim of her peers, like the English star Adele. The French audience adores this Quebecer, youngest of fourteen children born near Montreal, who, beneath the glamorous surface, also knows how to use self-deprecation.

Discovered on French television in 1983, she was definitively embraced in 1995 with the success of the album D’eux, crafted with the collaboration of Jean-Jacques Goldman. The album, featuring Pour que tu m’aimes encore and Prière païenne, remains the best-selling French-language record in the world with approximately ten million copies sold.
