US military officials are investigating why two military helicopters flew near Kid Rock’s home over the weekend.

On Saturday (March 29), the singer of All Summer Long – real name Robert Ritchie – posted a short video on social media showing two Apache helicopters flying close to his property in Nashville, Tennessee. In the video, Kid Rock, a staunch supporter of US President Donald Trump, can be seen saluting one of the helicopters.

“This is a level of respect that the brain-dead governor of California will never know,” wrote the 55-year-old artist in the caption, taking a jab at Democrat Gavin Newsom. “God bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend it.”

However, on Monday (March 30), Major Montrell Russell, a spokesperson for the US Army, confirmed that officials were investigating why the helicopters were seen near Kid Rock’s residence and, according to some reports, in proximity to the No Kings protest in the city. The protest aimed to oppose policies of the Trump administration, including the conflict with Iran and the behavior of ICE agents.

“Army pilots must adhere to strict safety standards, demonstrate professionalism, and comply with established flight regulations. An administrative investigation is underway to evaluate the mission and verify compliance with airspace regulations and requirements,” he said. “Appropriate actions will be taken if violations are found. No further comments will be made until the investigation is complete.”

White House representatives have not yet publicly commented on these images. Military personnel are required to remain politically neutral and support and defend the US Constitution.
