US military officials are investigating why two military helicopters flew near Kid Rock’s home over the weekend.
On Saturday (March 29), on social media, the singer of All Summer Long – real name Robert Ritchie – posted a short video showing two Apache helicopters flying close to his property in Nashville, Tennessee. In the video, Kid Rock, a fervent supporter of President Donald Trump, is seen saluting one of the helicopters.
“This is a level of respect that California’s brain-dead governor will never know,” wrote the 55-year-old artist in the caption, taking a jab at Democrat Gavin Newsom. “God bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend it.”
However, on Monday (March 30), Major Montrell Russell, a spokesperson for the US military, confirmed that officials were investigating why the helicopters were spotted near Kid Rock’s residence and, according to some allegations, near the No Kings protest organized in the city. The protest aimed to protest against Trump administration policies, including the conflict with Iran and the behavior of ICE agents.
“Army pilots must adhere to strict safety standards, demonstrate professionalism, and comply with established flight regulations. An administrative investigation is underway to assess the mission and ensure compliance with airspace regulations and requirements,” he said. “Appropriate measures will be taken if violations are found. Until the investigation is complete, no further comments will be made.”
The White House representatives have not publicly commented on these images yet. Military personnel are required to remain politically neutral and to support and defend the US Constitution.
