The Consulate General of the United States in Casablanca is preparing to change its address. The institution will now be located at Casa Finance City, in a new modern complex intended to bring together all of its services.

Until now spread across several sites, the activities of the American Consulate will now be centralized in this new building. The administrative services installed on Boulevard Moulay Youssef, as well as the Dar America cultural center, currently based in Gauthier, will gradually be transferred to this new address. A reorganization which aims to improve the readability and effectiveness of the services offered to users.

The transition timetable is already set. Services to the public on Boulevard Moulay Youssef will end on April 21, 2026, before a resumption of activities, by appointment only, from April 28 in the new premises. As for Dar America, the current site will close on April 10, with a reopening scheduled for May 5 at Casa Finance City. During this period, emergency services for American citizens will continue to be provided, particularly via dedicated online platforms.

Located in the heart of Casa Finance City, the new consulate is intended to reflect an old bilateral relationship, at a time when the United States and Morocco are celebrating 250 years of their diplomatic relations. Ambassador Duke Buchan also stressed that this opening embodies “a modern symbol of diplomacy American” while recalling the solidity of the ties between the two nations.

Designed as a building that is both functional and sustainable, the complex integrates cutting-edge technologies as well as environmentally friendly solutions. Solar energy, optimized water management and increased accessibility to public transport are among the elements highlighted. The project, whose cost exceeds $300 million, has also generated notable economic benefits, with the creation of numerous jobs and an estimated contribution of nearly $100 million to the national economy during its construction phase.

For Consul General Marissa Scott, this new infrastructure should make it possible to improve the reception of the public and strengthen the quality of the services offered, while consolidating trade between the two countries.
