Nogent has its visitor’s guide! For the past month, it has been possible to obtain this map and learn more about the rich heritage of the cutlery town, but not only that!

The “Nogent†visitor guide has just been published. Since 2022, it has already been possible to visit the city in “free” mode thanks to the Heritage trail set up. “It is published in paper format and in digital format, accessible via the panels placed at each location of the visits,” explains Patrick Prodhon, former cultural official. “Via a QR Code, access to the complete description is offered, in multi-languages, it is also accessible on the City website or through the ID-Vizit application†. “This route essentially includes the heart of the city, we were thinking about an extension, it turns out that the Attractiveness Agency offered a visitor’s guide to several sites in the department,” continues Mr. Prodhon. Thus, several people worked on the project, for the graphics, the texts, the layout. “It is a whole team invested in it, we started with the same graphic charter in order to be distributed in the tourist points of the department”. “Several meetings (were) necessary to succeed in obtaining a plan that met our expectations”. double-sided allows you to discover both useful and practical information, entertainment, emblematic places in the city center such as the cutlery museum, the Saint-Jean church, the Tour d’Angle, the Justice-de-Paix, but also the Saint-Germain church in Nogent-le-Bas, as well as the outskirts such as the dolmen known as “Pierre Alot†, an emblematic site classified in the inventory of Historic Monuments†.

The plan offers access to associated municipalities which also have tourist attractions (churches, fountains). Released in the spring, ideal at the start of the summer season, this guide will allow you to learn more and discover the city mainly known for its cutlery industry, but also full of heritage treasures.
