The festival of new literature Festivelly scheduled for this Saturday April 4, 2026 The bibliothèque of Tocqueville offers numerous literature workshops to a wide audience. The meeting is organized by the Caen Lit-On association which, since 2023, has promoted the organization of literary events in Calvados.

This third edition of this digital literary festival has moved from virtual to grassroots, to real, and is taking place in the libraries of Caen la Mer, including the Alexis de Tocqueville Library. The program for Saturday April 4 includes round tables, meetings with authors and publishers, literary and manual creation workshops, book swapping and convivial times.

Morning workshops

The Festivelly organizes its workshops in several times: in the morning, two writing workshops are offered in two slots at 10:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. The first workshop “ Writing romance in all its forms…» will allow you to discover the genre and the codes of romance, and to have the keys to embarking on writing your own romance. The second “ éwrite poetry…» is an introduction to poetry.

At 10:30 am, three more workshops are set. The first “ Atelier jaspage » is designed to learn how to personalize the spines of your books. It is recommended to bring one or two books, preferably paperback, to decorate them during this workshop. The second “ café lecture Young adult ” will explore themes from adolescent literature. Finally, “…speed editing » will offer you the opportunity to seize your chance by meeting publishers to pitch your novel to them.

Workshops that span the day

During the day, Festivally continues to organize workshops, with a book swap from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. if you want to give a second life to one of your books and leave with another. At 2 p.m., the event “Round table: a world to rebuild: dystopia in Young adult literature” will invite Tosca Noury to present her book Dissidentes, Rose Valder for Acharnel and Chloé Vollmer-Lo for L’institut du Nouveau. The 3:15 p.m. round table “love stories: romance in all its forms” will take place with Marie Reppelin who will present her book Face the night and Isis Mahé with Acid on our sorrows.

A raffle

The Festivally will perhaps offer you the opportunity to win prizes as part of an organized raffle (books, bookmarks, hot drinks, cocooning activities…) To try your luck, contact the stand of the Caen Lit-On association, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and request a ticket for 2 euros. The draw will take place at 5:30 p.m.
