On 30 March, the vice-chairman of the People’s Committee of Tuyen Quang province, Vuong Ngoc Ha, worked with Tan Trao University on the implementation of Politburo Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW and the development plan for education and training in the province until 2030, with a vision until 2045.

During the meeting, the university leaders stated that since its establishment in 2013, thanks to the modernization of Tuyen Quang College, Tan Trao University has gradually affirmed its role as a multidisciplinary public higher education institution, training human resources for the province and the mountainous and northern central region.

The university currently has 16 affiliated units and 232 staff members. The entire teaching staff holds a master’s or doctoral degree, with the proportion of doctors constantly increasing. Between 2021 and 2025, student recruitment has been successful, with more than 10,000 applications accepted and an enrollment rate of 82%.

The institution currently has 4,326 students, with more than 3,100 enrolled in the regular program. The quality of education has significantly improved, with a post-graduation employment rate exceeding 91%. The school has completed the second cycle of accreditation for educational institutions and accreditation for six training programs, while expanding its specializations in digital transformation, economics, and data science.

Scientific research and international cooperation have continued to be encouraged, with 129 scientific projects at different levels and 23 cooperation agreements with partners from 10 countries. Emphasis has been placed on supporting students, especially those from ethnic minorities and disadvantaged backgrounds, to improve their access to higher education.

However, the institution openly acknowledges certain difficulties, such as inadequate infrastructure, limited capacity to attract highly qualified teachers, unstable enrollment in certain disciplines, and incomplete digital transformation. It recommends that the province invest in infrastructure, establish mechanisms to attract quality human resources, and support training based on specific needs.

During the meeting, delegates focused on discussing solutions to improve the quality of education according to labor market needs, promote digital transformation of management and teaching, and strengthen the links between education and scientific research.

In conclusion, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Vuong Ngoc Ha, recognized and praised Tan Trao University’s achievements in improving the quality of education, educational accreditation, and international cooperation.

Ms. Vuong Ngoc Ha emphasized that, in the context of education reform in accordance with Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, the university must continue a comprehensive reform, improve the quality of practice-oriented education, build a streamlined, efficient organizational structure, develop high-quality teaching staff, promote scientific research and international cooperation, and gradually implement the university autonomy mechanism effectively.

Furthermore, the school must strengthen its ties with businesses and support the professional integration of its graduates, thereby contributing to meeting the socio-economic development needs of the locality in this new period.
