By refusing to marry Rachel, Nicky unwillingly took over the curse that weighed on his fiancée, thus condemning most of the married people in his family to a terrible death.
If married people think deep down that they are not married to their soulmate, they will die of hemorrhage. At the end of the series, which was explained by creator and showrunner Haley Z. “When the idea for the series came to me, I said to myself: ‘What if, by marrying the wrong person, we died of hemorrhage at the altar?’ That was the starting point. I imagined a bride bleeding to death in front of all her loved ones. Then, I asked myself: ‘What next?'”, began the creator ofA very bad feeling on the American site Variety. “It’s a mix of special effects and visual effects. I wanted it to seem real. I know bleeding everywhere isn’t realistic, but I wanted it to be both poignant and distressing. That was my goal,” explained Haley Z. Boston. This scene was obviously filmed last because the entire set was full of blood. “An incredible sequence to see,” according to the creator of the series.
The showrunner added to the Netflix site, Tudum, that she “kept saying: ‘There’s not enough blood, there’s not enough blood, even more blood!’ The fake blood on the set was also “very sticky”, making it difficult to move around on set since the shoes remained stuck to the floor.

A staging which was not thought out lightly, as the creator of the series specified to Variety: “Colin Stetson composed this magnificent music, and during editing, I realized that the massive spill had a very poetic dimension Rachel’s death, when she enters the atrium and everything slows down, is inspired by the end of.
