Thanks who? Thank you European Commission. The institution is relaunching its mobility program for young people: from April 8, 40,000 InterRail tickets will be put into play via a draw, allowing Europeans aged 18 to travel for free across the continent, as spotted by the Parisian.

Organized as part of DiscoverEU, an initiative integrated into the Erasmus + program, the operation is aimed at young people born between July 2007 and June 2008 and residing in a European Union or partner country. Applications, open until April 22, must be submitted online and include a selection quiz. Participants can apply alone or in groups.

Seven days of travel

The winners will receive a pass allowing them to travel for seven days over a period of one month, between July 1, 2026 and September 30, 2027. If the train remains preferred, other means of transport may be offered in certain specific cases.

Launched in 2021, this system aims to encourage the discovery of Europe and strengthen the feeling of belonging to the EU. In France, more than 5,500 young people had already benefited from these tickets during the previous edition.
