PATTAYA – TOURISM: Three days of giant celebration for a Songkran that goes into overtime

Want to experience Songkran differently? Direction Pattaya. From April 17 to 19, the famous seaside resort promises an extraordinary spectacle with the “Pattaya Wan Lai Songkran 2026†, a giant festival with your feet in the water.

Because here, the party does not stop on the official dates of the Thai New Year. In Pattaya, Songkran continues with “Wan Lai†, a local tradition which allows the celebrations to continue several days later, in an even more festive and relaxed atmosphere.

For three days, the central beach is transformed into a real open-air playground. Water fights stretch along the entire length of the seafront, while concerts and entertainment take place from midday until midnight. The biggest Thai stars will be there, and sports fans will even be able to follow the Liverpool – Everton derby live on a giant screen, directly on the sand.

Beyond the party, Pattaya does not forget its roots. Visitors will also be able to discover the traditions of Songkran through ceremonies, offerings and parades, all accompanied by local specialties offered by the sea.

Easy to access from Bangkok, Pattaya stands out as one of the best places to extend the Songkran experience. Here, when the rest of the country begins to turn the page, the party is just beginning.
