Among the nine single parents, four come from Walloon Brabant.
Valérie and Valentin (Lasne)
Valérie is 51 years old and her only son, Valentin, is 23. He is full of praise when defining his mother, “who is sunny, smiling, positive, elegant, a good life…”
Quant à l’émission, “I had seen a few episodes from the first season, and as I have a great relationship with my mom, I decided to sign her up after talking about it with her. The opportunity for her to get out of her comfort zone and find a prince charming.”
Valérie and Valentin are very close. “We get along very well, we are two good confidants, and I have the impression that the show lends itself to this, that my mother can trust me to find the rare pearl for her.”
If Valérie watched the entire first season to know what to expect, “For my part, I preferred not to look too much, preferring surprise. I don’t like it when we reveal too much.”
Emmanuelle and Giorgia (La Hulpe)
Emmanuelle (48 years old) has three daughters, including Giorgia, who followed the idea of her little sister Sarah to register their mother on the show.“We like to do things a little special in the family, and we missed this kind of television experience. This show was made for us and we did everything to ensure that mom was selectedtold by Giorgia. Our desire is for her to meet someone, and we said to ourselves that the other people who signed up must have the same expectations and the same touch of madness. This could be a good match.”
Giorgia, at the age of 23, describes her mother as “a very bubbly woman, very sunny, and who gives good advice. You can confide in her without problem, it’s written on hern forehead. And then, she gives off such an attraction that we are drawn to her.”
At the level of their contact, “We are very close. It sometimes flares up between us, but never for very long. We work a lot on communication in the family, we talk to each other and the problems are quickly resolved.”
On site, “is I’m going to love watching her and controlling her actions, she who sometimes says that I’m too intrusive in her life…
Aurore and Jeffrey (Tubize)
Mother of six children, Aurore (46 years old) has also been a grandmother for a year.
“My sister signed up mom, then I took over to do the show with herspecifies his son Jeffrey. The idea is for her to regain her confidence. This kind of experience could allow him to reassert himself. Me too, and we’re going to make the journey together, like a team.”
In terms of their mother/son relationship, “Mom having had me very young, at 16, we have a very close bond, with ups and downs like in every family, but we have never been as united as today, and we have never loved each other as much.”
For the upcoming show, “I’m happy to be able to pull the strings. From the outside, I think I can lead her properly, knowing what she needs and not what she wants. I know she will trust me. Mom is a strong, independent woman, full of character and values, with a lot to give and share.”
Tiphanie et Lilly (Ramillies)
Tiphanie is 39 years old. She has two daughters. “Mom is very energeticpresent Lilly, 17 ans. With her, things go in all directions. She loves going on adventures and discovering new things. Our relationship is great and we don’t just have a mother/daughter relationship. I would rather describe us as best friends. We share everything, there’s nothing I don’t know about her and she knows everything about me.”
It was while watching the first season that Lilly came up with the idea to include her mother:“I found the concept brilliant, with me, at a distance, who can control her love stories. Knowing that I can give her advice during the show gave her confidence, the idea really being that she could find love again after four years of celibacy. It’s complicated for me mother of living alone every day and this show could give her the opportunity to find someone who matches her and fill that void.”
