Saturday March 28, at the Richard house, was presented by the children of the Passe Pierre adventure their work The musician from Aubracan adventure which, in a comic strip, retraces life on the high plateaus of Aubrac.
As Xavier Boulot, the author and illustrator, points out: “It was in Nasbinals, on the Aubrac river, that I set down my drawing kits and pouches for a comic book workshop, with the children of the village and its surroundings. They imagined an adventure story, inspired by the landscapes and the lives of the inhabitants of the high plateau, populated by stories, music and noises that run on the pastures…“
The children met Géraldine, a young accordionist and member of the folkloric group Lous Cascadelous del Bés, who made them dance the soufflé and organized a visit to the Cabrette Museum in Cantoin.
A visit to the village with François, the bookseller, to discover the history of our old houses. A walk with Romain, Natura 2000 agent, through the hills around Nasbinals, to get closer to the fauna and flora.
Then, with these experiences, the seven budding cartoonists were able to imagine a story, a character, by proposing numerous drawn or oral ideas to, after a vote, agree on the title The musician from Aubrac.
A visit to the Marvejols Printing Museum allowed them to understand the history of the creation of a work as a whole.
Presentation of the comic strip to residents
On Saturday, the seven children were able to present their comic strip to the residents, staging this work in front of a large audience. At the opening and in view of the crowds, the organizers of the rural center had to add chairs.
This project is supported by the Foyer rural de Lozère, in partnership with the Foyer rural de l’Aubrac lozérien and thanks to the project partners…
Both children and distinguished authors were able to sign their books, followed by a dancing aperitif with Géraldine Juerry and Didier Garde.
