It’s a family affair that has been going on since 2010 in Barbentane. It all started with a meeting at the market. Benoît Ginoux, then accompanied by his cousin, exchanges with a spirulina producer. This moment marks a decisive turning point. “He invited us to visit his farm, and that was what clicked. From there, the idea never left me“, confides the entrepreneur.
A student in aquatic ecology, he left his mark: a Master’s degree in Montpellier, then an experience in Quebec. But his farm project remains anchored in him. In 2010, Benoît returned to his land with an ambition: to rehabilitate abandoned land to cultivate this age-old “algae”.
To clear the site, he can count on the help of his father, Francis and, in 2015, his brother Gilles joined him. Initially an employee, he became involved until becoming a partner in 2018.
