Bayern have decided for one of their most experienced players. A few months before the end of the season, the Bavarian club has formalized an important decision which marks the end of a cycle and already opens the door to numerous speculations on the future of the Portuguese.

Raphaël Guerreiro will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season. Arriving free in 2023 from Borussia Dortmund, the versatile full-back will not extend his contract, the two parties having decided by mutual agreement to end their collaboration. In three seasons, the Portuguese international will have played 89 matches in the Bavarian jersey, including 56 in the Bundesliga, with a championship title in 2024 and possibly a second to come in the coming weeks. His passage will remain that of a reliable player, capable of playing in several positions and bringing his experience to a very high level locker room.

The departure takes place in a serene climate, marked by mutual respect. Max Eberl stressed that Raphaël Guerreiro has always been a player the team could count on, also emphasizing his importance in the locker room and the quality of the exchanges between the club and the player. The manager explained that the decision was taken in a spirit of trust and understanding, while affirming that the objective now remains to finish the season together in the best possible way. A speech which perfectly reflects the image left by the Portuguese in München.

At 32 years old, Raphaël Guerreiro is now preparing to begin a new chapter in his career. Several options are already mentioned around its name. An adventure in MLS could offer him a new challenge in a different environment, while a return to A track in France is also mentioned, particularly on the side of Paris FC, an ambitious club in full structuring and listening to opportunities from Germany. A third track leads to Portugal and could represent a logical continuation for the international which could get closer to its roots.

Before looking ahead, Raphaël Guerreiro remains fully committed to Bayern München for the end of the season. The club is entering a decisive phase, between Bundesliga and Champions League, and each player will have to respond. In this context, the objective is clear, to conclude this adventure on a positive note and add a final line to an already well-filled list of achievements.
