Faced with the increase in fuel prices, Bonjour préssence 30 hopes to obtain, as quickly as possible, a significant increase in the mileage compensation allowance for all professional travel by its employees. Staff who are now exhausted. The association is addressing the Departmental Council.
The association Bonjour groupe presents 30, a specialist in home help for the elderly, today has 1,200 employees across the entire Gard department. Its elected officials and employees are demanding concrete measures as quickly as possible to deal with the continued rise in fuel prices.
“Home helpers can make up to 7 home visits per day. To assist elderly people with their daily tasks (meals, cleaning, etc.) and thereby encourage them to remain at home for as long as possible. Assistance which often involves additional travel for our employees, with their personal vehicle: to go shopping, accompany the beneficiary to their doctor…“, sings Déborah Thevenot.
38 cents donated per kilometer traveled
It’s been 11 years since this Gardoise, now a member of its social and economic committee, joined the Bonjour groupe present 30 association.Financially, it has always been very complicated, our mileage compensation allowance has always been very low. But today, faced with the explosion in fuel prices – 38 cents paid for each kilometer traveled – this is no longer possible! As our business trips cost us more than they are reimbursed for, some employees of the association now refuse almost all so-called “emergency” trips offered to them at the last minute. laments the passionate home help who continues: “soon, others will outright refuse the most expensive trips planned in their schedule. And it is those of our beneficiaries who are among the most isolated and therefore the most fragile who will necessarily suffer!“.
Meet at the departmental council
Today, the elected representatives of the CSE of the association are therefore asking for an indexation of the compensation for mileage costs of all its employees on the price of the increase in gasoline. To this end, an appointment has been urgently requested from the Gard departmental council. “A request that has remained unanswered to date“, finally says Déborah Thevenot who concludes: “we can always talk about solidarity…We still need to be able to put the key in the ignition!“
