Furnishing a 37m2 two-room apartment: tips and ideas from a designer

In this 37m2 two-room apartment, every detail really counts to improve everyday life. Designer Lina Knyazeva imagined an interior designed for her mother to meet all her criteria. But she added her talent to make it a place like no other. The result is an organized, elegant space full of good ideas. Above all, she sought a soft atmosphere, with natural materials. Nothing was left to chance, each zone found a real function. The plan shows a compact and complete organization despite this small surface area. There is a pleasant living room and an open kitchen, a separate bedroom, two dressing rooms and a bathroom.

Visiting the apartment

The wooden kitchen is the central point of the living room. In this room which also includes the living room furnished with a pretty green sofa, circulation is simple and fluid. The wooden furniture is consistent throughout this volume. The separate bedroom is a haven of peace dedicated to rest with its soothing colors.

The arches play a key role here, a real signature of this apartment. They soften the transitions between spaces. Some doors have disappeared in favor of curtains in terracotta shades. In the kitchen, on the dining area side, a closed arch has a large mirror facing the window. It amplifies natural light and gives the illusion of an additional opening, like an imaginary window.

The color palette is simple, but it creates an interesting subtle contrast. The warm wood dialogues with the deep green sofa and graphic textiles. The open shelves accommodate carefully chosen objects. The lighting highlights the shapes, particularly around the arches and in the bedroom. Ceramic sconces add an artisanal touch. The bathroom is modern, equipped with a comfortable shower, a wise choice to allow a person who is going to age to stay in this 37m2 two-room apartment for a long time to come.
