Ousmane Dembele Has Not Returned To Training
Following his injury against Arsenal, Dembele has still not returned to training as per reports. PSG, who might be keen to know if they will be with their talisman for the second leg, has confirmed new reports on Dembele.
Talking about his injury situation and recovery process, PSG in their Dembele Injury report mentioned:
Ousmane Dembele has been diagnosed with a hamstring injury as a muscle strain in his right thigh, PSG confirms.
His situation is “evolving, progressing favorably”, per the club’s official report.
Enrique, who took over PSG in 2024, has said they will be pushing to get Dembele back before the second leg. Talking further on how it impacts the squad, PSG Manager Enrique in his press conference said:
“We’re going to try to get Dembele back on the pitch, But we’re a real team. If Ousmane can play, that’s better. But if he doesn’t, we’ll still be a real team. We’ve been saying that since the start of the season.”
When asked about the extent of the injury, the PSG coach replied, “I’m not sure. He’ll undergo tests tomorrow. It’s not serious, it’s something very minor, but he’s probably a doubt for the second leg.”
Dembele also when asked on the situation on the matchday reflected on the situation, told L’Equipe, “I felt a little something, but it’s OK.”

PSG, who come in as the favorites to win the Champions League, could be in for an injury blow. With Dembele’s appearance in doubts, Enrique will have to turn to his rest of the firepower if needed. However, given the likes of Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Bradley Barcola, he still will have a worthy squad to clinch their second-ever UCL final spot.
Enrique’s side won the Ligue 1 2024/25 without losing a game at home this season. Displaying their dominance at the home turf, PSG has rarely stepped a foot wrong in this campaign. Arsenal and Mikel Arteta will be in for a tough night if they are to turn the tides around as both sides meet on Wednesday.
