Historic achievement for the Louves de Saint-Dié-des-Vosges : in their first year in Ligue A, the Déodatiennes secured a heroic maintenance. A top-notch performance that, however, faces a tumultuous end to the season, with administrative sanctions and internal investigations.

On the court, the mission seemed almost impossible. For their baptism in Saforelle Power 6, the volleyball players of Saint-Dié defied all odds and achieved a well-deserved maintenance. Last Saturday, against the Mulhouse leader, despite the score (1-3), the Louves concluded a season marked by exemplary solidarity and a level of play that honors Vosges volleyball.

This maintenance, acquired through sheer determination, is accompanied by a complex backdrop. The club must contend with a DNACG decision that it contests but must accept regardless, depriving them of a place in the play-in, as well as a delicate internal procedure. Following reports from players denouncing inappropriate comments from Emmanuel Dumortier, the coach is currently suspended pending further action.

While the gravity of the reported events necessitated an immediate response from the management, the presumption of innocence remains in place as investigations continue. Despite these upheavals, the Louves have proven that their place is among the best, while awaiting the return of stability to the club. Laurent Pilloni discusses this on 100% sport.
