In their last away game of the regular season, the “Sang et Or” returned with a defensive bonus point from their trip this Sunday afternoon to Objat.

In this balanced match, the Saint-Céré players, who played over half the game with fourteen men, once again showed determination and solidarity to secure the bonus point just a minute before the final whistle with a try by winger Delpeyroux.

Determined to seize every opportunity on the field against Juillac Objat, who are ranked fourth and defeated second-placed Isle two weeks ago, the players coached by Edouard Morault and Guillaume Tauxes fought hard until the last minute.

After conceding an early try by Aimard, converted by Delord, Saint-Céré Rugby, facing a strong and well-organized opposing team, managed to expand their game and control the ball.

Their offensive efforts allowed the visitors to capitalize on the opposition’s mistakes, narrowing the gap with penalties by Garcia and taking the lead with a penalty by Garcia early in the second half.

Even with a player down, the Lot players managed to maintain their advantage until around the hour mark when the Corréziens turned the tide within eight minutes with a penalty by Delord and a try by Lassudrie.

Despite being eight points behind and a player down, the Saint-Céré players did not give up. In the dying minutes of the game, winger Delpeyroux scored a try to secure the defensive bonus point.

This point brings the Lot team within one point of fifth place (which leads to qualification for the finals) before the last round, where Saint-Céré will host Isle while Saint-Astier Neuvic will take on Nontron.
