Local Cinematography Company Shines with Magical Films

The Beuchay cinematography company was honored by the Cinema At the Poster over the weekend of Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29. “The Treasure of Fairies” and its sequel, “The Secrets of the Grimoire,” were showcased. The director and some actors attended both screenings to interact with the audience. Only six (Saturday) and nine (Sunday) people attended.

Established in Langres in 2018, this association initially produced short films before venturing into the grand fantasy film “The Treasure of Fairies.” While the adventures of the heroine, Iris, are captivating, the film takes viewers to various locations and villages around Langres. Under the guidance of Sebastien Blondin, actors and technicians volunteered their time. In “The Treasure of Fairies,” Iris, an orphan, arrived with her brother to live with their uncle in the countryside but encountered some eerie characters.

In the sequel, titled “The Secrets of the Grimoire,” Iris’ adventures become even more fantastical, including time jumps to the Middle Ages. Viewers had the chance to discuss the film with Sebastien Blondin, the screenplay writer and director, along with two actors, Lionel Marichal as the intriguing Tibérius, and Samuel Foucard as Uncle Richard. Questions ranged from shooting locations to special effects intricately crafted by Sebastien during editing.

The company is gearing up for their next film, “Éponine and Sabinus,” featuring a Gaulish hero couple. They are looking for male and female actors aged 25 to 35 and will be holding auditions tomorrow at 10 am and Thursday, April 9 at 6 pm. Interested individuals can register at 06.52.02.10.97 or email lebeuchaylefilm@gmail.com.
