The 2nd edition of the mini-festival “Art makes its cinema” will make a stop in Leyme on Thursday, 9 April at 8:30 pm, at the performance hall of the Alphonse-Lescure cultural center, with an evening dedicated to street art. On the program: “Faites le mur!”, the French title of the film “Exit Through the Gift Shop”, by Banksy, a figure as famous as he is elusive in the world of urban art.

Presented as a documentary, the film immerses the viewer in a universe where art invades the walls of cities, blending provocation, freedom of expression, humor, and visual poetry. An original work, at the crossroads of cinema, critical reflection on the art world, and a portrait of a creation free from traditional frameworks.

This screening will be followed by a discussion with Rémi Tournier, former Sismikazot, a well-known muralist in the Lot region and beyond. His intervention will further the reflection on street art, its forms, its meaning, and the human connections it can foster in public spaces.

Through this evening, Leyme will kick off a local festival that aims to explore various forms of artistic expression and invite the public to engage with artworks and artists.
