Every spring, Paris takes on a Rio or São Paulo look for an event that has become a must-see for Latin American culture enthusiasts: the Paris Brazilian Cinema Festival. For its 28th edition, the festival returns from April 7 to 14, 2026, with a selection of films and documentaries that showcase the richness and diversity of Brazilian cinema.
For a week, the public can discover often unseen works in France, meet directors, and delve into stories from all corners of Brazil. The event attracts several thousand curious spectators every year eager to discover new talents and the many faces of the country through cinema.
The festival takes place in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in an iconic venue of Parisian cinema. An ideal opportunity for Radio Latina listeners to indulge in a cultural interlude and travel through films that explore music, society, personal stories, and Brazilian landscapes.
The program includes screenings, meetings, and moments of exchange around Brazilian cinema known for its creativity and unique perspective on the world. The selected films are carefully chosen to best represent the diversity of Brazilian cinema, such as “Daughters of the Wind” by Joel Zito Araújo, “Cancer Rising Virgo” by Rosane Svartman, “The Secret Agent” by Kleber Mendonça Filho, and many other gems of Brazilian cinema will be shown at the Arlequin cinema.
An invitation to discover or rediscover Brazil in a different way, through the screen.
