Tautavel en Musique festival celebrates its 25th edition with ambition and creativity. Held at the Lumley Cultural Space, this emblematic event in the musical landscape of Catalan Country offers an expanded 2026 edition, featuring six concerts and new artistic experiences.

An anniversary edition between tradition and creation:

Led by artistic directors Raphaël Sève and Nathanaël Gouin, the festival remains true to its DNA dedicated to chamber music while exploring new formats. This year, the event expands with a diverse program ranging from Franz Schubert to Latin American influences, including some bolder incursions.

Highlights include the cine-concert “Wonderful World,” conceived by cellist Christian-Pierre La Marca, promising a unique immersive experience. Musicians interact with striking images by photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand projected live. This artistic moment celebrates the beauty of the planet while encouraging reflection on its preservation.

The 2026 edition also showcases Catalan composer François de Fossa through a partnership with the Friends of François de Fossa association. A conference and exhibition provide an opportunity to rediscover his work, which is also featured in some concerts.

The program is set to be rich and varied: a Schubertiade on Friday, a Saturday rhythm by the cine-concert, a conference and a musical journey in Latin America, followed by a festive Sunday with a concert stroll in the village, an open stage, and a final concert “Let’s Rock” revisiting classics by Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, and rock icons like Jim Morrison and The Beatles.

Opening with a piano masterclass led by Nathanaël Gouin on Thursday, April 23, offers young musicians a rare opportunity for improvement.

With this anniversary edition, Tautavel en Musique confirms its role as an essential cultural event. Combining musical excellence, artistic openness, and moments of sharing, the festival promises a timeless weekend at the heart of the Eastern Pyrénées.
