Education: Protest at Resistance Square
A little over 50 classes are threatened with closure in Finistère, at the September 2026 back-to-school. A protest is planned on Tuesday, March 31 at 11 am, at Resistance Square in Quimper (Finistère) to denounce the future school map.
In the department, several small municipalities have been mobilized for weeks against these class closures, such as Pouldergat, near Douarnenez.
This Tuesday, a strike is also announced in public schools. In Quimper, it will be followed at Kervilien school in Corniguel. The morning and after-school care, as well as the canteen, will not be provided, according to a statement from the Quimper City Hall.
The canteen at Kergoat ar Lez elementary school will also not be provided.
Movie screening at Katorza for transgender visibility
On Tuesday, March 31, a screening of the film Hélène Trésor Transnationale by Judith Abitbol is organized at Katorza cinema in Quimper.

The event is part of the International Transgender Visibility Day. The screening is followed by a discussion with members of the Human Rights League (LDH), the organizers of the event.
The documentary explores the life stories and issues related to the rights of transgender individuals. The discussion allows the audience to interact directly with the speakers.

Table Tennis: Quimper plays its playdowns semi-final
On Tuesday, March 31, Quimper Cornouaille Table Tennis hosts Grand-Quevilly for a playdowns semi-final in Pro A women’s category.
This match is crucial for maintaining the team’s position in the elite of French table tennis. It took place at the sports hall in Ergué-Armel.
