On the sets of Cube TV, we get into the game, with fewer camera eyes! Here, the sole ambition is to have a friendly and unforgettable time with friends and/or work colleagues around a unique activity: television game shows. For the past year, Jérémie Jarny has been managing the Cube TV company in the city center of Brest, where he hosts several cult entertainment shows from the small screen. All done with total spontaneity and in live conditions!
Plato on a silver platter! The business leaders in Brest who belong to the Plato professional network, led by the CCI Finistère, gathered at the premises of Cube TV Brest, a company founded a year ago by Jérémie Jarny, who is also a member of the Plato network. The purpose of this event was to introduce their world and strengthen team bonds by sharing an entertainment activity inspired by a cult TV show.
This is the concept of Cube TV, a company that offers a unique pastime: immersion in television game show sets to experience as a team, whether with family, friends, or work colleagues. The franchise was created in 2022 in Nancy and since then, eight replicas have opened in France, including two in Brittany (Brest and Lanester).
Jérémie Jarny inaugurated Cube TV Brest in October 2024. A former radio journalist (he was one of the voices of Cherie FM in Quimper), the media man decided to venture into entrepreneurship while keeping one foot in the industry that shaped him: television. “I started from scratch!” recalls the director. From a business plan, financing, investment, recruitment—everything is carefully planned and built. “I attended the 5 Days to Start training at the CCI Finistère in Quimper. This initial training helped me understand business management, formalities, accounting, etc. I needed this to reassure myself and gain confidence,” he explains. Regular guidance from an accountant helps him quickly project himself once the location is found.
Sharing a good time in live conditions
Jérémie Jarny set up shop on Glasgow Street in the city center of Brest: a unique location that required a complete overhaul. The entrepreneur invested 250,000 euros in these works: the 400 square meters available were divided into six separate rooms plus a friendly space equipped with a bar and light refreshments. Each room opens onto a unique space, represented by a entertainment set inspired by television game shows: the sets created recall those of popular shows like ‘Les 12 Coups de midi’, ‘Une famille en or’, ‘la Roue de la Fortune’, or ‘Vendredi tout est permis’. “The goal is to be immersed in these worlds to share a good time, in live conditions,” smiles Jérémie Jarny, who has surrounded himself with a team of hosts, responsible for the atmosphere and game rules.
Team cohesion
This new venue attracts all generations. The clients range from avid TV game show fans to complete newcomers, drawn in by the desire to play. “The formula appeals to families as well as groups of friends. We also offer space privatization for special events like bachelorette or bachelor parties, as well as company seminars, sports events, or any team-building initiative,” emphasizes Jérémie Jarny. He complements his offer with catering, dining, and entertainment services. “We can accommodate up to 80 people simultaneously.”
On Google and social networks, the activity offered by Cube TV is rewarded with 5-star ratings and enthusiastic comments. “Our primary ambition is for people to have a good time and leave with a smile,” says Jérémie Jarny, who has successfully engaged local businesses in the neighborhood to provide prizes for the winners of these game shows. Entry prices are affordable and range from 10 to 30 euros per person, depending on the game duration and required number of participants.
A unique activity
The first year of operation was challenging due to construction work on nearby bus lines. Access to the street was closed for several months, and the new director could not achieve the expected turnover. “Since last September and the end of the work, things have improved, and the activity is picking up,” rejoices Jérémie Jarny, who has ramped up his communication on social networks to expand Cube TV’s reputation. “We are the only ones offering this!” The argument resonates throughout Finistère, attracting teams from Carhaix, Morlaix, and Quimper who come to challenge their TV culture and indulge in recreation.
