On the Cube TV sets, the cameras are missing but the fun is all there! The main goal here is to have a great time with friends and/or work colleagues around a unique activity: TV game shows. For a year now, Jérémie Jarny has been managing Cube TV in the city center of Brest, where he hosts several beloved entertainment shows. All done in a spontaneous way and under live conditions!
Plato on a plate! Business leaders from Brest who are part of the Plato professional network, led by the CCI Finistère, gathered at Cube TV Brest, a company opened a year ago by Jérémie Jarny, also a member of the Plato network. The idea behind this event was to showcase their universe and strengthen team bonds by sharing a fun entertainment activity inspired by a famous TV show.
This is the concept of Cube TV, a business that offers a unique leisure activity: immersive TV game show experiences to be enjoyed in teams, whether with family, friends, or workmates. The franchise was established in 2022 in Nancy, and since then, eight replicas have opened in France, including two in Brittany (Brest and Lanester).
Jérémie Jarny inaugurated Cube TV Brest in October 2024. A former radio journalist (he was one of the voices of Cherie FM in Quimper), the media man decided to venture into entrepreneurship while keeping a foot in the media industry that shaped him: television. “I started from scratch!” recalls the director. From business plans, financing, investments, recruitment, everything was carefully thought out and constructed. “I took the 5 Days to Start training at the CCI of Finistère in Quimper. This initial training helped me understand the concepts of business management, formalities, accounting, etc. I needed that to reassure myself and gain confidence,” he said. Regular support from an accountant allowed him to quickly have a vision once the location was secured.
Sharing a good time under live conditions
Jérémie Jarny settled on Glasgow Street in downtown Brest: an unusual location that had to be completely redesigned. The entrepreneur invested 250,000 euros in these works: the 400m² available were divided into six distinct rooms plus a friendly area with a bar and a small catering service. Each room opens onto a unique space represented by a set inspired by TV game shows like The 12 o’clock games, Family Fortune, Wheel of Fortune, or on Friday everything is allowed. “The goal is to be immersed in these universes to share a good time, under live conditions,” smiles Jérémie Jarny, who is surrounded by a team of hosts responsible for the atmosphere and game rules.
Team cohesion
This new place attracts all generations. Customers range from TV game show enthusiasts to complete beginners, just attracted by the desire to play. “The formula is popular with families as well as groups of friends.” “We also offer space privatization for special events such as bachelor/bachelorette parties, as well as business seminars, sports events or any team-building initiative,” said Jérémie Jarny, who complements his offering with catering, dining, and entertainment services. “We can accommodate up to 80 people simultaneously.”
On Google and social media, Cube TV’s activity is praised with 5 stars and enthusiastic comments. “Our primary ambition is for people to have a good time and leave with a smile,” smiles Jeremie Jarny, who managed to gather local businesses to provide prizes for the winners of the game shows. Entrance fees are moderate, ranging from 10 to 30 euros per person, depending on the game’s duration and the number of participants required.
A unique activity
The first year of operation was challenging due to roadworks on nearby bus lines. Access to the street was closed for several months. The new manager was unable to achieve the expected turnover. “Since last September and the end of the roadworks, things have improved, and the activity has been flourishing,” rejoices Jeremie Jarny, who has strengthened his social media presence to expand Cube TV’s reputation. “We are the only ones offering this!” The argument is echoing throughout Finistère, attracting teams from Carhaix, Morlaix, and Quimper who come to challenge their TV culture and have a recreational time.
