Vodafone TV is expanding its entertainment ecosystem by integrating Rakuten TV into its platform offering. Vodafone TV customers will now be able to enjoy the “Videoclub by Rakuten TV” service, a vast library of rental films that enriches the existing catalogue on Vodafone TV.

This integration allows Vodafone TV customers access to around 6,000 titles for rent, including recent releases like “Hamnet”, “One battle after another”, “Wuthering Heights”, recent hits like “28 years later: the temple of bones” or “Now You See Me 3”, as well as a wide selection of blockbusters and classic cinema masterpieces, all available with just one click for an optimal entertainment experience.

The user experience remains unchanged. Users can rent films directly from the Vodafone TV decoder in a simple and secure way, with payment directly integrated into their Vodafone bill. Once rented, they can enjoy the content on all compatible Android devices with Vodafone TV, ensuring a flexible and multi-screen experience.

This collaboration with Rakuten TV allows Vodafone TV to offer a wider variety of content, competitive prices, and a unified access experience where customers can discover, rent, and enjoy their favorite films without leaving the platform.

Rakuten TV has been developing partnerships with operators, device manufacturers, and media companies for more than a decade across Europe, combining streaming platform expertise with technological and distribution solutions through Rakuten TV Enterprise to help partners enhance their content offerings and reach new audiences.

“Collaborating with Vodafone allows us to offer Rakuten TV’s extensive catalog of new releases and premium content to an even wider audience,” said Jorge Del Puerto, European Director of Partnerships and Business Development at Rakuten TV. “Thanks to Rakuten TV Enterprise, we work with operators and partners across Europe to facilitate access to premium content and support the continuous growth of the streaming ecosystem.”

Jesús Rodríguez, Director of Vodafone TV, added: “The integration of Videoclub by Rakuten TV marks an additional step in our commitment to offer our customers the most comprehensive entertainment experience. With over 6,000 titles available for rent directly from Vodafone TV, we are strengthening an offering that already includes the leading platforms in the market and now adds a vast catalog of new releases and cinema classics on demand.”
