At the end of the opening ceremony and the first two matches of Group A of the 2nd International Football Tournament for young students – THACO Cup 2026, on the evening of March 28 at Nha Trang University, a host institution by the journal Thanh Nien, a meeting and exchange program were organized to welcome the six participating teams. The event provided an opportunity for teams to meet, interact, and strengthen their bonds, as well as share their passion for football, promote fair play, and envision a dynamic, fair, and exciting tournament.
Here, players from the University of Water Resources, Nha Trang University, Svay Rieng University (Cambodia), National University of Singapore, and National University of Malaysia all had an unforgettable time together. The stage was brought to life by the amazing performances of the six teams. The referee’s whistle faded away as the players from different Southeast Asian countries seemed to bridge the gap between them with music.
Representatives from the University of Laos team presented gifts to journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan, the editor-in-chief of Thanh Nien, and Dr. Quach Hoai Nam, the rector of Nha Trang University, the tournament’s host.
