This is one of the seven annual events produced live by Strasbourg Events. Barely turning the page of Egast – the trade show for food service professionals that attracted nearly 25,000 visitors in mid-March for its 40th anniversary – it is now time to reconfigure the Exhibition Park as a Home Show. “It never stops!” confirms Souhire Ehresmann, director of events organized by Strasbourg Events.
From April 10 to 13, 130 professionals from the fields of real estate, construction, renovation, interior and exterior design, decoration, and energy savings will showcase their offerings on about 10,000 square meters at the Strasbourg Exhibition Center.
Nearly 60 new exhibitors
“Half of them return year after year,” emphasizes Souhire Ehresmann, who sees in this loyalty, as well as in the longevity of a show that is in its 29th edition, evidence that both professionals and individuals find it beneficial. Especially since this core of loyal exhibitors does not prevent renewal. With 60 new exhibitors and increased space given to local businesses and crafts, “we have further enriched the offering to better address current concerns,” she explains.
Facing the rise in fuel and gas prices, issues related to energy-efficient renovation will inevitably be at the center of interest. The French Passive House Construction Federation will participate in the show. Visitors will benefit from valuable advice from the Climate Agency, France Rénov’ – the public service dedicated to renovation and improvement of housing – and Oktave, the regional dedicated tool. “For the first time, we will also host UFC – Que Choisir, which will provide its independent and clear perspective on consumption choices related to housing,” emphasizes Souhire Ehresmann.
“The goal is to offer free advice to visitors and secure their renovation process. They must be able to meet here, with confidence, reliable professionals, identified and locally established. We are very attentive to this aspect,” insists the organizer who knows that the credibility of the show is at stake.
In line with the times, Souhire Ehresmann also highlights a new, more environmentally responsible offer. Illustrated notably by the presence of Paysagistes à vélo, a Strasbourg-based landscaping company that uses bicycles to promote an ecological and responsible approach to maintaining outdoor spaces. Or by the company Dard des villes, based in Lingolsheim, “which notably offers roof cleaning using a drone,” she explains.
Workshops and conferences
Another hallmark of the Strasbourg Home Show is its activities. Eco-coaching, DIY and creative hobbies, creating botanical stabilized plant paintings, stone sculpture demonstrations are part of the program, in addition to workshops.
As for the conferences, they will focus on best practices, as well as on aids and financing modalities for energy-efficient renovation in 2026, pitfalls to avoid in terms of solar equipment or renovation, outdoor spaces facing climate change, and the best way to “reveal the invisible potential of [your] interior”. In 2025, the Home Show had welcomed around 6,500 visitors.
