During the presentation workshop of the project proposed for the 7th Ho Chi Minh Prize for Science and Technology, delegates and participating scientists unanimously agreed that research and production of specialized fuels for national defense and security at the Dung Quat refinery possess not only high scientific and technological content and many practical applications but also strategic importance for energy security, national defense, and the country’s self-sufficiency.
On March 27, in Hanoi, the Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR), a member unit of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group (Petrovietnam), organized a scientific workshop on the project “Research and Development of Technologies for the Production of Specialized Fuels for National Defense and Security at the Dung Quat Refinery,” focusing on results and strategic importance.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Le Xuan Huyen, Deputy General Director of the Board of Directors of the Vietnamese National Energy and Industry Company (Petrovietnam); Mr. Bui Minh Tien, a member of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam; as well as delegates and scientists from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, the Petroleum Department (Ministry of National Defense), the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences (Hanoi University of Technology), and the University of Mining and Geology. From BSR, Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong, Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Mai Tuan Dat, Deputy General Director, were present.
