Science at the forefront: present your scientific works at the Book Fair!

For the 21st consecutive year, the collegial stand des Sciences sur la Place is renewing its presence at the literary fair in Nancy called Livre sur la Place which will take place from September 11 to 13, 2026, at Place de la Carrière in Nancy.

The main goal of this stand is to facilitate the meeting between scientific authors and the general public: presentation and sale of scientific works, book signing sessions, and scientific discussions.

Call for participation: we are interested in your works!

  • You are a teacher-researcher, researcher, engineer, administrative staff, etc.
  • You work in a CNRS research unit, Inserm, Université de Lorraine, INRAE, etc.
  • You have published a scientific work as an author or co-author with a publisher.

To present your works at the Science on the Place stand and hold a book signing session, register by Tuesday, April 28, 2026 via the mandatory form on the Sciences sur la Place website.

Participation conditions

  • At least one work published after September 2025
  • Works in French
  • Maximum of 3 titles per author
  • Category: general public and youth

After registration, the selection committee will meet to select the works to present and establish an agenda for activities and signings.

  • Introduce scientific works to the general public
  • Generate interest in science among the general public, especially the youth
  • Promote public bodies and their multidisciplinarity to the general public
  • Create a positive image of research in Lorraine

The 2026 edition of Science on the Place is a collegial event organized by several members of Unys (CNRS Centre Est and Inist, INRAE, Université de Lorraine), the ÉDUL editions of the Université de Lorraine, Inserm Grand-Est, the Botanical Gardens, the Féru des Sciences and the Muséum-Aquarium de Nancy.
