The previous year, for the 6th edition of the Musikojardins festival, the Mosaïque collective organized ten concerts with an average of 65 spectators in Lanester. The 7th edition will take place from Tuesday, July 7 to Sunday, August 9 on the same principle, with a show on Tuesday and Sunday at 8:00 pm, with a single entry fee of €10.
“This year, we will have Céline Dion, Garou, and Lynda Lemay! No, actually the idea is to have artists from the country of Lorient perform in the gardens of Lorient. We are emphasizing proximity,” said Jérémie Simon, one of the festival’s founding members.
With gardens of 300 m² in size, the programming is currently underway. It will not include any Quebecois stars. “We currently have 25 artistic projects that could be programmed,” said Mireille Kergoat, treasurer of the collective. For now, the collective is calling for gardens and looking for owners with 300 m² of usable space in one piece to host one of the ten evenings. Those living in the Lorient, Quimperlé, and Blavet Bellevue Blavet océan agglomerations can apply. Last year, concerts took place in Lanester, Kervignac, Languidic, Ploemeur, and others.
“In any case, what is important is to build connections, be part of the organization to fill the audience capacity. The owner must be involved in welcoming the artists, leveraging their network. They will be able to discover the organization of a show,” added Jérémie Simon.
