The private school Notre-Dame de la Paix will open its doors to families and prospective students on Friday, April 10th starting at 5:30 pm. This friendly moment will be an opportunity to visit the premises, meet the teaching team, and discover the projects carried out throughout the year: a great opportunity to dive into school life and exchange ideas about pedagogical practices.
“This year, highlights the director Céline Cabusel, the school stands out for the richness of its pedagogical projects and its openness to families. Several important moments punctuate the daily lives of the students, ranging from discovery, artistic expression, and digital tools.”
From the nursery section to the CE2 level, students participate in an ambitious theater project. Through workshops of physical and oral expression led by Florence Bonnet, from the small theater of Florence in Villefranche-de-Lauragais, children build their self-confidence, stimulate their imagination, and learn to express themselves in front of an audience. This work will culminate in a performance during the school’s festival on June 27th.
As for the CM1 and CM2 classes, they are engaged in an original project titled “Minestory.” Inspired by the world of video games, this project uses digital tools to work on writing, collaboration, and storytelling. With the help of the famous video game, students will visit the Basilica of Saint-Sernin in Toulouse and will have to model the monument in the game to create a virtual tour. “This project, combining art history, writing, and digital tools, allows students to understand the historical and architectural challenges of the largest Romanesque church in Europe. These ambitious initiatives, in the words of the director, illustrate the dynamism, creativity, and spirit of innovation of the school.”
