Leo XIV will pray more particularly for priests in crisis during the month of April. In the video presenting this intention published at the start of Holy Week, this March 31, 2026, the Pope prays that they find “healthy friendships”, “fraternal support” and “a sense of humor”.
In his prayer, promoted as every month by the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, Leo “Renew in them the certainty of your unconditional love,” the Pope asks God.
Leo He therefore calls on the Catholic community to “take care” of them.
The faithful must learn to listen to priests “without judging them”, to thank them “without demanding perfection” or even to “accompany them closely”, continues the pope. Addressing the Holy Spirit, Leo XIV asks that these priests find “healthy friendships”, “fraternal support” and “a sense of humor” in difficulties.
Finally, the American pontiff prays that they can “rediscover the beauty of their vocation” and “that they never lose confidence” in God. As in the videos published previously, the images show Leo XIV praying in the San Pellegrino church in the Vatican. (cath.ch/imedia/cz/mp)
