118 graduates and memorizers of the Koran honored at Ribat Abou Bakr and in scientific institutes in Hodeida
The Ribat Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq for Islamic Sciences, located in the Dahman Mosque in Hodeida, yesterday honored a group of graduates and memorizers of the Holy Quran, as well as brilliant students from scientific institutes, centers, schools and circles of model studies.
During the ceremony, in the presence of MP Abdullah Khairat and Deputy Governor for Services, Mohammed Halisi, the head of the guidance sector of the governorate, Abdulrahman Al-Warfi, highlighted the importance of memorizing, reciting and putting into practice the teachings of the Holy Quran.
He urged everyone to benefit from the valuable knowledge provided in the schools of Islamic sciences dedicated to the Holy Quran, which benefit from the attention of the Guide of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, as well as the authorities of the state and the governorate. He also highlighted the crucial role of youth in following the prophetic path and supporting the oppressed.
Al-Warfi praised the efforts of those responsible for Ribat Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq and scientific institutes and centers which work in the service of the Book of God and encourage young people to join Quranic study circles, in addition to the hundreds of graduates from previous years.
The head of Ribat, Sheikh Muhammad Aamwa, explained that the Holy Quran is the protection of the nation and the foundation of social progress.
He congratulated all the graduates, memorizers, best students and brightest students in these last blessed days of Ramadan, and thanked them for the Quranic knowledge they acquired, enabling them to serve the nation and society.
He considered the youth as the hope and future of the nation, and highlighted the primordial role they play in the defense of the country and the preservation of its identity based on faith.
He insisted on the importance of Quran memorization centers and scientific schools, taking into account the challenges, plots and Zionist-American maneuvers that the nation is facing in the region. It was a question of forming an educated generation, protected from cultural deviations and pernicious ideas, and to transmit to him solid religious and scientific knowledge, in particular the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
For his part, Ahmed Taleb, master of ceremonies, highlighted the inspiring role of the Dahman Mosque and the eminent scholars who led it over the decades.
The ceremony, in the presence of Sheikh Ali Adhabi, vice-president of Dar Al-Uloom Al-Sharia University, Omar Bahr, director of education, Ibrahim Shara’i, director of tribal affairs, as well as several sheikhs and scholars, was punctuated by presentations of examples of courses and teaching received in religious sciences, particularly in terms of memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran. Graduates then received certificates of recognition and awards.
The number of graduates is 118, including 23 graduates of the first class of the Intermediate Institute of Sharia Sciences, seven certified memorizers in the ten and seven readings, 21 certified in the reading of Asim and the narration of Hafs according to Asim, 11 memorizers of the Holy Quran, six graduates of the Manar Tihama Institute of Sharia Sciences, 10 graduates of the second promotion of the Imam Nawawi Center of Sharia Sciences, 34 distinguished personalities from institutes, centers and sharia circles, and six distinguished personalities from the Ramadan course at the Dahman Mosque.
