Fatima Zahra El Youmi won first place in the first national competition for memorizing the Holy Quran, organized in Casablanca for the benefit of the children and orphans of National Security personnel. This competition focused on two main categories, memorization and recitation of the Sacred Book.
In the memorization category, Ayman Harouane, originally from Marrakech, obtained second place, while Idriss Hannati Idrissi, from Fez, ranked third. This initiative was organized by the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Social Works of National Security Personnel, in collaboration with the Casablanca police headquarters. In total, 142 children took part in the different phases of the competition, including 34 finalists who reached the final stage.
In the recitation test, Hasna Bourmia, from Meknes, rose to first place. She was followed by Safaa Zein, from Marrakech, who came second, and Abdullah El Youmi, from Casablanca, who took third position.

Promote religious values and excellence
On this occasion, the Secretary General of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Social Works of National Security Employees, Mohamed Mechmachi, underlined that the organization of this competition, in accordance with the guidelines of the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, is part of the desire to diversify the educational activities offered to the children of Foundation members.
According to him, this initiative also aims to encourage young people to appropriate religious values and to deepen their connection with the Holy Quran, both through its reading and its memorization. Mohamed Mechmachi also praised the high level demonstrated by the participants throughout the various eliminatory stages. Of the 142 candidates initially entered, 34 managed to qualify for the national final.
He also expressed his gratitude to the local scientific councils and the regional directorates of the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs for their decisive contribution to the success of this event, in particular through the supervision of the local selection phases.

An initiative praised by the jury
For his part, Mohamed El Karawi, member of the jury and the Scientific Council of the Nouaceur region, welcomed this initiative from the General Directorate of National Security, believing that it constitutes a valuable opportunity to reveal the talents of children and encourage their attachment to the Holy Quran.
The closing ceremony was marked by the presentation of distinctions to the 34 finalists in order to encourage them to continue their learning and their recitation of the Sacred Book. The jury of the Scientific Council of Casablanca, responsible for supervising the final, was also honored.
The event took place in the presence of several officials, including the wali of the Casablanca-Settat region and prefect of Casablanca, Mohamed Mhidia, the prefect of Anfa, Abdelkhalek Marzouki, the president of the Regional Council, Abdelatif Maazouz, as well as the Casablanca police chief, Abdellah El Ouardi, alongside the families of the participants.
