Joint security troops have stopped a terrorist attack on ECWA Church in Ariko Village in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State and freed 31 hostages during Easter service. TVC News found out that the troops acted quickly after a distress call about the kidnapping of worshippers. With the help of Ariko community members, they chased the escaping terrorists and fought them fiercely.

Authorities mentioned that the troops’ better weapons overwhelmed the attackers, causing them to leave the 31 hostages behind. One of the rescued victims is wounded and is currently receiving medical care.

Unfortunately, the bodies of five people murdered by the terrorists were discovered at the scene. Trails of blood indicate that the attackers also faced significant casualties as they ran away. Troops are now stepping up their chase to locate the remaining terrorists, rescue any other potential captives, and hold the culprits accountable.

Extra troops have been sent to the area to boost security and avoid further assaults. The Nigerian Army affirms its dedication to safeguarding citizens and will keep collaborating with other security agencies and local communities to ensure long-lasting peace. The public is urged to continue giving prompt and trustworthy information to the security forces.
