One dead, another seriously injured after overnight fire in Troy

One person has died and another is seriously injured following an overnight fire in Troy. The State Fire Marshal confirmed the fatality just after 6:30 on Tuesday morning. Fire crews from over a dozen departments, including some from Massachusetts, responded to the scene early Tuesday. The fire originated on Morse Street, as reported by the Rindge Fire Department, one of the departments present. Officials have confirmed that the fire has been put out. The State Fire Marshal informed News 9 that one person with serious injuries was airlifted to a hospital in Boston; their current condition remains unknown. The cause of the victim’s death is also unknown. News 9 has a team on site and is in contact with officials to gather more details.
