Gilgeous-Alexander’s stellar performance included 10 crucial points in the fourth quarter, helping extend his NBA record streak of 20-point games to 135. Jalen Williams chipped in with 22 points for the Thunder, showcasing his skills after returning from injury. Chet Holmgren added 16 points and nine rebounds as Oklahoma City secured their 14th win in 15 games. The Thunder now lead the league with a 59-16 record, staying ahead of the San Antonio Spurs by 2 1/2 games.
The Knicks, currently third in the Eastern Conference, couldn’t match the Thunder’s free-throw shooting, allowing Oklahoma City to take control. Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 32 points, but couldn’t prevent their second consecutive loss after a seven-game winning streak. Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 15 points and 18 rebounds in the losing effort.
Looking ahead, the Knicks will face the Houston Rockets while the Thunder will host the Detroit Pistons in their next matchups.
