LeBron James sets up his son Bronny for a 3-pointer in the NBA’s historic first father-son connection.
LOS ANGELES – LeBron James made history on Friday night by giving his son, Bronny James, the first father-son assist in NBA history. The moment occurred during the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against Brooklyn when LeBron passed to Bronny for a 3-pointer in the second quarter.
This was the second consecutive game where the father-son duo played together, with both making contributions on the court. Bronny, who typically plays limited minutes and occasionally for the Lakers’ G League team, got more playing time due to a teammate’s injury.
The James duo’s unique achievement marks the first time in NBA history that a father and son have played in the league at the same time, let alone on the same team.
