Hundreds of troublemakers clashed with police outside a federal complex in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday as “No Kings” protests spread across Southern California and the nation.

Around two hundred individuals headed to the site to provoke officers, aggressively shaking metal gates set up to protect the complex and shouting profanities. “Fk you, fing come and get me,” one protester yelled. Many demonstrators wore masks and supported various causes like anti-ICE, anti-war, and pro-Palestine, taunting agents with megaphones and calling them “scumbags.”

Authorities initially warned the protesters, who threw pink smoke bombs, wood pieces, and water over the fences. After further warnings, tear gas was fired at the rioters, and arrests were made.

A woman stated that her son had been detained and urged others to leave the area. The LAPD confirmed several arrests and issued a citywide alert due to incidents near the Metropolitan Detention Center.

LA’s top federal prosecutor Bill Essayli reported that agents were attacked at the scene, leading to arrests. He warned, “Federal agents have started arresting those who assaulted our personnel at the Los Angeles courthouse.”

Demonstrators in downtown LA joined a nationwide wave of “No Kings” protests led by left-leaning radical groups opposing President Trump’s administration. The protest was described as the largest in US history, with millions expected to participate across all states.

Flyers called for Trump’s impeachment and criticized his administration as a “regime.” Protest costs are being covered by LA taxpayers, with groups like the Liberty Hill Foundation participating in the rally.

Doug Emhoff, Kamala Harris’ husband, attended a “No Kings” rally in Malibu alongside celebrities. Comedian Kathy Griffin, known for controversial actions against Trump, also made an appearance.

Actor Sam Elliott was also present at the rally, wearing a shirt that urged people to “Vote the bum out.”

These demonstrations happened amidst protests against issues like ICE raids and the war in Iran. Protests and rallies continued across Southern California to voice opposition to the Trump administration.
