“There’s not much left, the liquidation worked well.” The 4Murs store is closing its doors this Saturday, March 28. The store dedicated to wallpaper, painting and decoration was opened at the beginning of the 2010s near La Vie santé, in the Carrefour sud area, in Chalon.
In 2021, it moved near Casa, expanding and offering “a very inspired concept store”. The Moselle brand was not limited to wallpaper but offered the entire world of the home, with chandeliers, sofas, curtains, room fragrances, frames and trinkets.

But the group with 80 stores in France has encountered difficulties in recent years, like several brands dedicated to the home. He decided to refocus his activity on the internet and on wallpaper, his core business since 1969. The Chalonnais store began its liquidation a month ago with discounts of up to -70%. This Saturday, it will close its doors, the four employees will leave as part of a job protection plan, the fourth social plan for the group in two years.
We do not yet know which brand could be installed instead. Right next door, the premises that Casa had occupied quickly found a buyer. The shoe brand Chaussea took advantage of the opportunity to expand. The store is currently closed for renovations and should reopen within a few weeks.
