In the excitement of Pigalle and its joyful hustle and bustle, a new address has just opened its doors: Le Trente, at 30 rue Massé. Impossible to go wrong. “It’s a symbolic figure,” confides Aeolus et Corto Peyronthe joyful siblings behind this hybrid project which, after the coveted Hôtel Masséis expanding its space with this new location: a bar adjoining the hotel, installed in a former loft in Pigalle. “Since the opening of Le Massé, word of mouth has been very strong: the hotel was full from the first week and a very creative community, from all over the world, began to gravitate around the place. With my brother Corto, we sometimes have the impression that the hotel and the bar have become a sort of permanent meeting point…, explains to us Eole Peyron. Residents of the 18th arrondissement, travelers and night owls now have a new gathering place in the neighborhood.
The revival of Pigalle
In this epicenter of Parisian nightlife, cradle of artistic and literary bohemia from the end of the 19th century, we can no longer count the number of restaurants and bars that have made the neighborhood famous. From cabaret to French Touch, through cinema, literature and fashion – with the eponymous collective of Stephen Ashpool – Pigalle remains a cultural, artistic and popular crossroads. In the 2000s, a new Parisian indie scene roamed its streets, from one haunt to another. There we come across, in bulk, the BB Brunes, Ed Banger or even the creator Hedi Slimane. But at 1 a.m., all roads lead to Bus Palladiumwhich will also reopen its doors this year, under the leadership of Lionel Bensemoun and his crew. “Pigalle is experiencing a real nocturnal revival,” explains Eole. “We feel a new energy in the north of Paris, with places that are reinventing nightlife and attracting a very creative scene. Places like Le Bus are participating in this dynamic. Le Trente is part of this movement, with the idea of remaining an open and welcoming bar. spontaneous: a place where you can come and listen to records, share a drink and meet very different people.â€
It is therefore certainly no coincidence that Aeolus et Corto Peyron chose the vibrant rue Massé to house their family project. It all starts with a designer, contemporary and tasteful hotel, whose decoration is signed Olivier Guyot and the Gasparetto Parenti studio. Very quickly, the Parisian aesthetes, first and foremost the journalist Maud Charmoycreator of Amuse Bouche, spots it. Then, the Massé made the rounds on Instagram thanks to its second-hand furniture, its careful decoration and the joyful bohemianism that emanates from it. Today, the siblings are beginning a new chapter in their history by opening a bar-restaurant where you can enjoy a seasonal menu renewed every month, around minimalist wines, kombuchas brewed in Paris and signature cocktails created for the occasion by Gabrielle, a young sommelier from the neighborhood.
