Zendaya’s descent into hell continues in season 3 ofEuphoria on HBO. And she might well have reached her destination, according to the trailer.

It’s been a long time coming, season 3 ofEuphoria. Announced in 2022, it was postponed, modified and gave rise to many rumors after The Idolits chaotic filming and the accusations of toxicity made against showrunner Sam Levinson. According to Variety this delay would also come from his initial idea for this sequel, which imagines the lives of his colorful characters after their studies. When it made Rue (Zendaya) a private detective, HBO reportedly decided to pause the series to better align it with previous seasons.

The other problem encountered is also, of course, the availability of the casting: Euphoria has made most of its actors very prominent Hollywood stars, who have a series of prestigious projects: Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow… But this third batch of episodes was indeed filmed and, after a first delivery of unpublished images, she is entitled to a three-minute mega trailer.

Euphoria no more

High school is over. Euphoria too. This long trailer gives us a glimpse into the “adult” lives of the protagonistsnot always the most brilliant. Obviously, Nate and Cassie are getting married. The latter is also launched on OnlyFans with the complicity of Maddy (Alexa Demie) and we fear as much as she does the reaction of her new husband, archetype of the toxic male in previous seasons. Although he seems to have eaten a few loaves this time.

Jules is an art school student who found herself a sugar daddy. And Lexi, according to an interview given by Levinson, is now an assistant to a screenwriter-showrunner joué par… Sharon Stone. Hence the meta references to the Warner studio, which owns HBO.

Money for nothing, girls for free

But we obviously focus a lot on Street, which sinks ever deeper into drugs and crime. We find her forced to collaborate with a Mexican gang and therefore still pushing back all the stages of despair and self-hatred. These images confirm that Levinson has not given up on his die-hard approach: the season could include an electric knife torture sequence… The official pitch is as follows:

“A group of childhood friends are forced to confront fundamental questions of faith, redemption and evil.”

A crisis of faith for Zendaya?

A press release also told us that cinematographer Marcell Réva used a new Kodak film in 35 and 65mm formats. Enough to renew the silver look which also made the series a success. The cast also includes Colman Domingo, Dominic Fike and Eric Dane, who died tragically in February 2026. Still co-produced by A24, Euphoria will therefore be back from April 13 on HBO Maxat the rate of one episode per week.
